Custom Search Engine / Custom Research Services:
We currently do not offer a subscription to our custom search engine. Access to the custom search engine is only available along with the Capital Data Center subscriptions. We do however offer customized research services. We will perform a search of our Capital Data Center for you after you provide some details as to what you are looking for.
Here is a brief sample of the type of information we would need to produce meaningful results:
What type of investment are you looking for? Buyout, Recapitalization, Acquisition, Growth Capital, Angel Funds, Venture Capital. The stage your company is in (Early stage, start-up, existing with 5 years of history, etc.) will most likely help determine the type of investment.
A ballpark of how much you are looking for. A range such as $10 million to $20 million is an acceptable answer.
Where in the US does the company reside? Our database is geared more toward US investing and thus we would not be able to help companies beyond the US borders.
The industry the company is in and what the company does (manufacturer, distributor, business services, financial services, healthcare services, etc.)
The more information you provide, the better the results. This information may be obtained through an email exchange or via phone.
What are the results?
Results would include a Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Angel Fund firm name along with a website if available. We do not provide contact information for specific professionals at the firms.
The resulting list can be anywhere from 0 firms to 99 firms. We do not charge for or deliver anything less than 5 firms (see below for further information).
Pricing:
We price our research services at a base hourly rate + a success fee. This type of arrangement allows you to focus on the deal instead of researching potential investors. We can provide results that include only PE firms (both financial and strategic), or provide public and private strategic investors as well.
Our pricing options may differ from need to need and you will have the option to proceed before we perform the research. Of course we don’t know how long a search will take so a pricing agreement must be signed before proceeding.
Would you like someone to contact a Private Equity firm and do this type of search for you? – See the links to one of our partnering Intermediaries on the left side of the page. Many times an intermediary will charge you nothing if you give them the opportunity to contact a Private Equity firm on your behalf. Of course your company / wants would first have to be in the realm of Private Equity and beyond the Venture Capital or Angel Fund stages.
